Authenticating via IP

Setup

• In order to configure IP authentication for your institution, please send your IP range to support@thesocialhistoryarchive.com 
• We also support institutions who wish to provide access via a proxy service. In order to configure access by proxy, please send your proxy server IP address to support@thesocialhistoryarchive.com . We currently support the following proxy services:
  • EZProxy
  • HAN proxy
  • OpenAthens Compass
  If the proxy service your institution uses is not included above, please get in touch and we'll do what we can to support you.

• Our EZProxy stanza is available on OCLC’s list of IP address databases at: https://help.oclc.org/Library_Management/EZproxy/EZproxy_database_stanzas/Database_stanzas_S/The_Social_History_Archive  

• To avoid issues with Cookie Banners and other quirks we also recommend institutions use OCLC’s CookieLaw stanza.
